Brand Story

I live in an incredibly beautiful place in Vecumnieki, on the shore of the Old Lake. Nature here is inspiring and changes like a painting every day. There's a huge diversity of birds. But one day, a large white bird surprised me. Very similar to a pelican. I wondered, could it be?

The WHITE HERON turned out to be so beautiful and enchanting. I fell in love with it instantly. I cherished every moment I had the chance to observe it. It kept returning to my local beach more and more often. So, especially for me!

I gradually started including it in my paintings, gift wrapping paper and bag prints, and other products. I realized I wanted this beautiful bird to become my signature mark.

This story was written in Vecumnieki on January 19, 2022, and published on Anda Sproge's Facebook profile.

In nature: "The Great White Heron (*Ardea alba*) is a large bird from the heron family. Its gleaming white feathers and the silence with which it rises into the air make it similar to an angel. The Great White Heron nests in a wide range across almost the entire world, and since 2000, it has been a permanent nesting bird in Latvia as well. Its main food consists of fish, frogs, crustaceans, and small birds."

Since 2022, this bird has lived together with the Anda Sproge Art Creative Studio brand.

The author's creations symbolically and philosophically merge with nature - birds, animals, flowers, waters, and clouds.

UNIQUENESS AND SUSTAINABILITY

How are the Products Created?

First, paintings are created in various techniques - including acrylic, watercolor, oil paints, pastel, and graphic drawings. The created drawings and paintings are transformed into dress, sweater, T-shirt, and bag designs. The designs (clothing and bag avatars) are adapted to client preferences and unique prints are created that reflect either the entire painting or parts of it. The designs are approved with the client. Fabric production then proceeds according to the chosen design, pattern, and client's size.

Each production is unique, as the fabric is manufactured according to the customer's wishes and nuances, sewn in the desired size. Up to 90% recycled textiles are used in garment manufacturing.

This means that the author thinks about nature conservation by not creating unnecessary surplus stock in the warehouse. Operating in 100% collaboration and accordance with the client. This means standing against fast fashion industry, which produces in large volumes.

With her brand, the author promotes and supports "Slow Fashion" implementation in clothing production, which means:
